It’s imperative that you train in as effective, realistic and practical a manner as you can. You can’t waste time or resources on anything that isn’t a specialized area of study. These classes will take you through the steps you’ll need to go from just sending rounds down range to actually training in specific, tested methods of armed self-defense.
defensive Pistol Workshops
Our defensive pistol workshops are 2-2.5 hour classes designed to better prepare you to defend yourself. These are not "Marksmanship" classes rather they are designed to build skills that can be used in context of self defense.
Defensive Pistol 101Basics of Defensive Shooting
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. We discuss training efficiency, constancy and the plausibility concept. Then covers grip, trigger control, stance, kinesthetic alignment, multiple shots, sighted fire and balance of speed and precision. |

Home Defense 101Basics of Home Defense
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. We discuss home safety and security, firearm staging vs storage, stages of home defense. Balance of speed vs precision, multiple target engagement and finish with a home defense simulation. |

Defensive Pistol 102Intermediate Gun Handling
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. We discuss training efficiency, presentation from a holster, grip reflex, startle reaction, lateral movement and emergency reloads. |

Defensive Pistol 103Basics of 360 Degree defense.
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. We discuss defensive skills in a 360 degree environment because the threat may not always be in front of you. We cover BoSP, presentation from concealment, multiple targets, facing drill and cognitive drills. |

Defensive Pistol 104 / DSF Level 1 FinalIntermediate Defensive Shooting Final Exam
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. This workshop is a cumulation of all the skills learned in the Defensive pistol 100 series. Completion of this class earns one their Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1 Certificate. |

Malfunctions 101Malfunction Disfunction
This workshop begins with Safety, Comfort and Competency for firearms training. Do you know what to do when you hear the loudest sound in a gun fight? You know the "Click" you hear when your gun fails. This class covers BoSP, common gun malfunctions, uncommon gun malfunctions and how to solve them using non-diagnostic linear malfunction skills. |

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 1
Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 1 is the next step in training after one receives their Concealed Pistol License. This class expands on ones firearm handling skills. This Class is a two day class. "Day 1" is a home study online eLearning module and book work prior to attending the live portion of the class that is 8 hours in length all on the range. Lunch is provided for all day sessions. As a pre-requisite all students must have either a valid Concealed Pistol License or previously attended our Concealed Carry Class.

- Defensive Caliber Pistol (9mm, .40 S&W, .45ACP or similar)
- 4 Magazines for your Pistol
- Strong Side Hip Holster
- Magazine Holster/Pouch (to hold at least 1 mag)
- Minimum 400 Rounds of Ammunition (available for sale on site)
- Eye & Ear Protection (Preferably Electronic Ear Protection)
- Baseball Cap
- Weather Appropriate Clothing & Footwear (Closed toe/No sandals)
- This Class is all outdoor and taught rain or shine so please come prepared.

Defensive Shooting Fundamentals - Level 2
Level Two builds on the skills introduced in Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 1: Training Your Mind and Body to Respond, Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Level 2: Training for Real-Life Scenarios guides the serious defensive shooter through the necessary skill-building drills and techniques that can make the difference between dying and living and best prepare you to defend yourself or those you care about. This course brings your mindset and physical training into line with the ways that the human mind and body react to stress, danger and violence. These courses are designed to work well with what your body does naturally and help respond to violent threats as efficiently as possible. Defensive Shooting Fundamentals: Level 2 trains students to be a good shot on the range and a lifesaving shot in the real world, Level 2 will take your training and preparation to a higher level!
